Jazzie was introduced as a “cool teen cousin” of Barbie. The line of Jazzie dolls was copyrighted in 1988 and released in 1989, except for the Sun Lovin’ doll (which didn’t come out until 1990). The Jazzie line features the characters Stacie, Chelsie, and Dude in their only appearances (although the names Stacie and Chelsie/Chelsea are also used for other characters, including for Barbie’s sisters).
