The Barbie Songbird series was copyrighted in 1995 and released in 1996. The series includes Barbie, Barbie AA, and Teresa. The Christie head is used for Barbie AA but because she appears as Barbie AA, she and the Caucasian Barbie wear the same outfit. Teresa gets to be her own self under her own name with her own color choices. Ken is named “Great Date” rather than Songbird but he and Barbie appear on the backs of each other’s boxes, indicating they were intended to be grouped.
