Disney released the movie Enchanted in 2007, and dolls for the movie were released by Mattel, the Disney Store, and Simba (in the European market). I have heard discussion that Disney considered adding Giselle to the Disney Princess line, but they would have had to continue to pay to use the image of Amy Adams, so they did not.
