Two distinct styles of pets have been created by Basic Fun. Originally the pets’ details were applied with a more pixelated style. These pets are usually found in packages labeled with a code that ends with ES or 01, which is why we refer to these pets as being in the ES/01 style.
Example of an ES/01 pet:
In 2024, Basic Fun began producing pets with a different style of paint application. These pets are found in boxes with codes printed on them that end with KX or 02, and are referred to as KX/02 pets as a result. The painted portions of the KX/02 pets lack the pixelation of ES/01 pets, but they are often sloppy and inconsistent. The KX/02 pets themselves are also are smaller and made of a harder plastic with new 2024 copyrights molded on. They also do not have printed codes on their bodies like some ES pets do. So far the 01 and 02 pets are both stamped. Sometimes the same pet can be found in both the KX/02 and ES/01 style.
