The Totally Hair series was copyrighted and released in 1991. Barbie is featured in this series in three versions: blonde, brunette, and African American. In Europe, the brunette version could also be found with the Steffie face mold (therefore creating a fourth version, aka the Whitney version). Ken was also a part of this line, and Skipper and Courtney were added in as TRU exclusives.
This was an incredibly popular series and is known to be the best selling Barbie line ever. As a result, it was released over several years and many variations of these dolls exist.
