Bowtie was first released as a single in 2005. She is a Dazzle Bright Pony in the Butterfly Island series. She was then included in the Rainbow Wishes Amusement Park value pack and the Sam’s Club exclusive Wonder Waves Surf Shop. She is in the Rainbow Dash pose.
In 2007, Bowtie was released in a Toysrus 4-pack with Tropical Delight, Magic Marigold, and Gardenia Glow as part of the 25th Birthday Celebration series. This version is different from the previous Bowtie release in that she has a harder body and her head turns.
In 2008, in some countries, the Wonder Waves Surf Shop was released again. The ponies included with this release have no hoof hearts, and they have white magnet caps in their feet instead of pink magnets.
