Moonstone was released in 1983 and is a Rainbow Pony. Her body color varies. She came with a purple star brush, purple comb and pink ribbon. In Germany, Moonstone was released without glitter on her symbol. She is in the Glory Pose. To view other ponies by year/series, click here.

In 2007, Hasbro released a retro Moonstone for My Little Pony’s 25th Anniversary:


Basic Fun released reproduction ponies starting in 2017, for the 35th anniversary of My Little Pony. They released a scented and non-scented version of Moonstone. The scented version has been known to turn brown. In 2025, they released Totally Rad Moonstone.
