These dolls were released at the 1991 Barbie National Convention, which took place in Omaha, Nebraska with the theme “Barbie Loves A Fairytale.” Mattel provided Dress Me Barbie (a foreign issue of a 1990 Fashion Play Barbie #9629) to attendees. The hosting Barbie club provided the My First Prince Ken doll (#9940) and foreign issue Dress ‘N Play Barbie dressed up as Prince Charming & Princess.
