Star Swirl is in the Sunny Daze pose. She was first released internationally as a single in 2003. Domestically, she was available bundled with either Minty or Sparkleworks.
Also in 2003, she was included as a bonus with the Cotton Candy Cafe. This set was later released again. The second release version of Star Swirl has no hoof heart and a white magnet cap instead of a pink magnet in her foot.
In 2004, Star Swirl was released with the Pretty Pony Fashions set. This version has eyes that are more gray than in her previous releases.
