Sunspot was released in 1989 and is a Sparkle Pony. She came with an orange sun comb. Her hair frequently fades from pink to white. There is also evidence that she was released in some cases with either a white mane or tail (not just faded). She can be found with hooves marked “Pat Pending” or without. She is in the Tootsie Pose.
Sunspot was also released as a Mail Order pony. This version has an additional symbol on her cheek, and can also be found in Pat Pending or non-Pat Pending versions.
